There
is no drums and bass, but lots of pianos and stringed
instruments. It’s quite different from the other songs of a rock band ‘’Mayday’’.
The whole song describes a person who loves his or her boyfriend or girlfriend but,
unfortunately, it is only an unrequited love. So he or she
thinks it is a better way to be content with looking someone you love smiling
for others.

五月天（英語譯名：Mayday；日語譯名：メイデイ）台灣樂團，成員共有五人，由主唱阿信、團長暨吉他手怪獸、貝斯手瑪莎、吉他手石頭和鼓手冠佑組成。前身為「So Band」樂團，在1997年3月29日改為現名，其名稱是來自貝斯手瑪莎在BBS上的代號「May-day」。五月天出道13年，共發行了8張錄音室專輯、2張精選輯和數張演唱會專輯，銷售數量頗佳，在各地舉辦無數巡迴演唱會，屢屢創下地方演唱會紀錄與商機。2012年6月23日，五月天以第二人生四度奪下第23屆金曲最佳樂團，更打破他們紀錄，入圍七項中就得獎六項包辦了最佳國語專輯獎、編曲人獎、作曲人獎、專輯製作人獎和年度最佳歌曲〈諾亞方舟〉，成為2012年大獲全勝的樂團。

Mayday ,
is a Taiwanese alternative rock band that was formed in the late 1990s
with five members, Ashin (A Shin) (vocalist), Monster (Guai
Shou) and Stone (Shi Tou) (lead guitars), Masa (Ma-sha) (bass guitar) and Guan
You (Guan-You) (drums).
Formerly
making music under the name of So Band, they came to be known as Mayday in
1997, with the name originating from Masa's online nickname. They have gone on to sell more than 1
million albums. Mayday won the Golden Melody Award for Best Band in
2001,2004,2009 and 2012.
Mayday's songs are written mostly in Mandarin with some Taiwanese Hokkien tracks by Ashin, who speaks fluent
Hokkien in addition to Mandarin. They are popular for their student band roots,
and their ability in capturing the zeitgeist of Taiwanese youth in the mid to
late 1990s. They are often cited
as one of the pioneers of rock music in Taiwan.They were also vocal advocates
on the issue of gay rights, with several songs making oblique references to the
issue. As they gained popularity however, the band gradually shed its
hard-edged sound and moved towards slicker production.
