周杰倫（Jay Chou，1979年1月18日－）為臺灣著名創作歌手，兼具電視節目主持、演員、導演等身份。周杰倫於2000年發行首張同名音樂專輯《Jay》出道，隨即引起華語音樂重大注目，其融合多元的主題與素材，創造出多變的風格，尤以融合中西元素的嘻哈、節奏藍調、饒舌和中國風而受歡迎。高中就讀於淡江中學音樂科，主修鋼琴，副修大提琴，為將來的音樂發展打下了深厚的基礎。他曾表示少年時受到香港著名歌手張學友的唱片《吻別》的影響，從而喜歡並開始專注於流行音樂。由於他的音樂基礎紮實，令其在流行音樂創作方面如魚得水。1997年8月，他首次亮相螢光幕前，當時是為參加TVBS-G選秀節目《超級新人王》的高中同學擔任鋼琴伴奏。雖然同學最終並未獲獎，節目主持人吳宗憲卻對周杰倫的作曲技巧印象深刻，進而與其簽約。當時吳認為其樣貌不夠突出。而不足以走紅幕前，所以讓其專注於作曲、填詞。這一時期他創作出了不少膾炙人口的作品，阿爾發音樂唱片公司中，唯他與方文山的合作作品最受青睞，無形中兩人的合作形成了一種「定律」
對於周杰倫而言，進入電影界是一個出乎意料的發展。2005年，周杰倫的第一個電影角色是在《頭文字D》中擔任男主角，正式進入電影界。這可以推出他的首部作品，並使他接觸到日本的觀眾 ；此後他還演了其他六部電影，客串了3部電影導演、一部影片和數十個MV。周杰倫曾經說過：「我因為音樂而生活」，涉足電影業是因為他覺得自己需要一個新的挑戰。2006年，周杰倫的第二部電影《滿城盡帶黃金甲》中他飾演二王子元杰，在電影中他試圖表現了中國的傳統美德——「孝」，也是他個性的縮影。這一部在國際上發行的電影讓北美觀眾首次看到周杰倫。2007年，周杰倫自導自演了他的第三部電影《不能說的·秘密》，電影裡大部分的歌曲也由周杰倫監製，在這部電影中他發揮了自己的鋼琴天分，愛上了一個穿越時空到現在的女孩。2011年，周杰倫在美國3D電影《青蜂俠》擔任青蜂俠助手「Kato」的角色，是他在好萊塢的處女作。此外他的第二張專輯《范特西》裡面的經典歌曲《雙截棍》被採用於青蜂俠電影的片尾曲，在全球放送。
《天台》（英語：The Rooftop）是一部喜劇、動作、愛情、歌舞類型的電影，也是繼2007年《不能說的·秘密》後，構思整整6年後周杰倫第二部自導自演的電影。首度創新將傑式「歌武片」，突破傳統「歌舞片」的唱跳模式，更融合了武術動作，令人耳目一新。其中，「天台的月光」為其主題曲。中國大陸票房截至7月15日止，以6,700萬人民幣票房破《悲慘世界》紀錄。截止至7月25日，《天台》在中國大陸票房已突破1億元人民幣。

Jay Chou (born 18 January 1979)is a Taiwanese musician, singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and actor. In 1998 he was discovered in a talent contest
where he displayed his piano and song-writing skills. Over the next two years,
he was hired to compose for popular Mandarin singers. Although he was trained
in classical music, Chou combines Chinese and Western music styles to produce songs that fuse R&B, rock and pop genres. He composes all his own songs, as
well as songs for other singers.
Chou debuted his acting career and made his film debut in Initial
D (2005), for which he won
Best Newcomer Actor in both the Hong
Kong Film Awards and the Golden
Horse Awards, and was nominated for Best Supporting Actor by Hong
Kong Film Awards for his role in Curse of the Golden Flower (2006). He produced the theme song for
the film Ocean Heaven (2010),
starring Jet Li. His career now extends into directing and running his own
record company JVR Music. As of 2010, Chou has sold more than 28 million albums
worldwide.
The
Rooftop (Chinese: 天台) is a 2013 Taiwanese film. It is the second
feature film directed by Taiwanese
singer/actor Jay Chou. Similar to
his first feature film, Secret,
Jay played multiple roles in the production of the film, as the main lead,
director, script-writer and music composer.The Rooftop is one of the many scripts that Jay
Chou has written since the success of Secret in 2007. Most of the scripts are
sequels to Secret. However,
Jay Chou and his long-time friend Will
Liu decided to work on The Rooftop as a challenge to produce the first
Chinese mainstream musical-cum-martial arts film. They claimed that The Rooftop is a film that is difficult to be
categorized, for it combined the elements of musical extravaganza and actions.
